“For if ye forgive men their trespasses,
your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
Matthew 6:14, 15
Most gracious heavenly Father,
You have both paid the cost to redeem me from my bondage to sin, and have forgiven my sins.
I stand in awe of Your amazing grace, mercy and love for me.
How can I expect You to forgive me when I hold on to bitterness or pride and do not forgive those around me as You have both commanded and demonstrated?
Forgive me when I do not love and forgive others as You have loved and forgiven me.
Examine every corner of my heart today
that all elements of selfishness and pride and arrogance will be removed.
- Fill my heart with Your love.
- Give my heart a love that shows grace.
- Give my heart a grace that shows mercy.
- Give my heart a mercy that forgives as You have forgiven.
I pray in the name of Jesus, my perfect example of love and grace and mercy,
