“Just as a father has compassion on his children,
So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
For He Himself knows our frame;
He is mindful that we are but dust.
As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
When the wind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its place acknowledges it no longer.
But the lovingkindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting
on those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,”
Most compassionate and gracious Father,
You have known me from before I was born. You have called me Your child. In Your compassionate kindness, You have given me an inheritance that is far above any earthly treasure. You know my thoughts and the number of my days.
- How great is Your understanding of me – though I fail You!
- How great is Your compassion on the likes of me – though I fail You!
- How great is Your everlasting lovingkindness toward me – though I fail You!
Thank You for providing a means by which I may know You, and have eternal life with You!
Father, let my heart always revere and respect You.
Let my mind consider only thoughts that are pleasing to You.
Let my actions contain the same compassion that You expressed to me.
Let today and all my remaining days be in service to You, My Father, My King, the Almighty God!
I pray in the name of Jesus,
