My God, my rock

“The LORD is my rock and my fortress and

my deliverer, My God,

my rock, in whom I take refuge;

My shield and the horn of my salvation,

my stronghold.”

Psalm 18:2

Dear Father,

Your Word tells me that this world will be against me, just as it was against You when You came in flesh, as Jesus. As the time grows nearer for Your return, it seems that the hatred and persecution of believers intensifies, just as You said.

Thank You for Your precious Word that reminds me of just who You are! Almighty God of the universe, You are the One to whom I look in times of trouble!

Thank You for Your precious promise that You will never leave me or forsake me! You are Jehovah Nissi, my banner, in times of battle! I look to You, and seek shelter in Your strong and mighty hand!

Thank You for reminding me so many times in Your Word to “not fear.” There is nothing that will overwhelm or overtake You, and You are with me.

I will rest in You today, no matter what comes, in Jesus’ name,
