Winning with kindness
“The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome,
but be kind to all,
able to teach,
patient when wronged,
with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition,
if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and
they may come to their senses and
escape from the snare of the devil,
having been held captive by him to do his will.”
2 Timothy 2:24-26
You have given me instruction to make disciples of all men, teaching them to observe all Your ways. You have taught me that it is Your will that all should come to repentance.
I confess that I sometimes allow a quarrelsome spirit and impatience,
even unkindness to interfere with that goal.
Please forgive me.
Today, I pray Your desire will overtake mine.
I pray Your lovingkindness will replace my unkindness and impatience.
I pray that You will give me opportunity to share with someone today who needs to escape the snare of the enemy, about Your truth and freedom.
I pray You will prepare their heart and mine for the transformation You desire, and give You all the glory for that!
