Blessing of Trials
“We count those blessed who endured.
You have heard of the endurance of Job and
have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings,
that the Lord is full of compassion and
Dear merciful and compassionate Father,
I confess that I do not always count it all joy while I am going through a time of testing. Yet, those times of great difficulty and pain and suffering always bring me closer to You.
- So, I thank You for allowing them into my life.
- Thank You for using those times to show me the important things, and reveal the things which were a hindrance.
I pray that my times of hurt and pain and suffering will echo the attitude of Job.
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked I shall return there.
The LORD gave
and the LORD has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the LORD.
Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God.”
Job 1:21, 22.
Thank You for Your compassion and Your mercy that surpasses anything that comes to me today. I count on You to lead me with strength and courage today, and hold me through the difficult times.
