Remember Him, Rest in Peace

“When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches,
For You have been my help,
And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me.”
Psalm 63:6-8
Dear Father,
You are Almighty sovereign God over all! You rescued me out of the pit of sin and made me Your child! You paid the enormous price that I might have eternal life rather than the punishment I deserve. You are working all things together for my good.
Even knowing all that, I confess that I am guilty of trying to carry all the worries of the day myself. I am guilty of trying to sort and fix all the fears that  come before me rather than give them to You. Forgive me for forgetting to simply remember You and trust You.
I trust You with everything that comes to me today, and all my remaining days! I will rest in the safety of Your arms in peace and joy. My soul is safe with You, so I will go about the work You have for me today with fearless faith.
I thank You and praise You and come to You in the name of Jesus,
Amen.
