Trusting God the Creator

“There is the sea, great and broad,

In which are swarms without number,

Animals both small and great.

There the ships move along,

And Leviathan, which You have formed to sport in it.

They all wait for You To give them their food in due season.

You give to them, they gather it up;

You open Your hand, they are satisfied with good.

You hide Your face, they are dismayed;

You take away their spirit, they expire

And return to their dust.”

Psalm 104:25-29

Father, Creator and Sustainer of the Universe,

I see Your creation all around me in obedience to You. The oceans stay in their realm, the birds have seeds, by Your providence to sustain them through the winter. If You have provided so well for them, I know You will provide for me whatever today holds. Without You, I would be in despair and filled with worry for what might come.

As the wind, the clouds, the trees all obey Your commands,

I too purpose in my heart to be obedient to You.

I choose to honor You with my life today,

as an obedient child,

trusting my loving Father.

Father, help me today to remember that You are in control. You are worthy of praise for all You have done and You are worthy of my trust for all You are doing and will do.

Lord, I trust You with my today and the rest of my days. I pray in Jesus’ name,

Amen.
