Dear heavenly Father,
It is easy and common to see those who do not speak the Truth, but teach what “feels good” and they never speak of accountability and results of sin.
How thankful I am to have Your Word that tells me the truth and convicts me of my sin.
So many doctrines are taught as truth when they are empty as a mist, having have no basis, no grounding.
How thankful I am to have Your Word of Truth that flows from an eternal wellspring of truth.
There are many today who teach and believe whatever doctrine is convenient and popular among the majority.
How thankful I am to have Your Word of Truth that never changes.
There are those who seek to prey upon the vulnerable and weak and entice them with sensuality, when they are actually leading them into a slavery to that sin.
How thankful I am to have Your Word of Truth that gives me freedom from the bondage of sin.
While they falsely teach of light and freedom, they are walking in darkness and blinded from the truth.
How thankful I am to have Your Word that shines light into the darkness of this world.
Father, You warned about false teachers and the danger of the things they would teach. You also warned about their ultimate fate – an eternal darkness and torment.
Help me be faithful to study Your Word so that I will be able to recognize error.
Help me be faithful to share Your Word in order that others will also recognize their error.
Help me to have the courage to speak truth today to one who is enslaved to error, living in darkness and headed for eternal darkness.
Prepare their heart to receive truth and
prepare me to speak that which You would have them hear.
I pray in Jesus’ name,
