1 Timothy 6:9-11

Father in heaven,

You have shown me so many good and perfect things. You hold indescribable treasures in store for the faithful. Truly, anything on earth would pale in comparison to the glorious riches in heaven.

Give me vision to see the eternity that awaits.

Give me vision to complete my work here as a good strong soldier.

May my eyes never be clouded with desire for wealth but be filled with desire for things of far surpassing value – “righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.”

May the things of the world never again distract me from the King of the world.

I pray these things in Jesus’ name,
