God My Strength

“For the choir director. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD

who spoke to the LORD the words of this song

in the day that the LORD delivered him

from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.

And he said,

“I love You, O LORD, my strength.”

“The LORD is my rock and
my fortress and
my deliverer,
My God,
my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield and
the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold.”
Psalm 18:1,2

Dear Father in Heaven,

Thank You for Your promises to David that You upheld,

even in the face of his enemies.

Thank You for preserving this Word

so that I can be reminded of Your faithfulness.

Thank You for the reminder that I need not fear any person in power over me.

They will never prevail over Your plans for me.

You alone are my strength, my rock of refuge when all around me seems to be against me. Though no one stand with me, You are my deliverer from those who seek to do me harm. They will never be able to thwart Your divine appointment for me. I will always look to You for refuge.

How I love You!

Your faithfulness and love to me is like no other!

You have loved me with an everlasting love that I did not deserve.

I will cling to You and love You and proclaim You and Your mighty work all my days!

I praise and pray in Jesus’ precious name,

Amen.
