In Luke 8:36 “Those who had seen it reported to them how the man who was demon-possessed had been made well.”
Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Acts 16:31 “They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
Romans 5:9, 10 “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. ”
Romans 10:9 “if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
When we are in crisis, we can call on His name for calm. When we are hurting, reach out to Him for healing. When demons inhabit, He can evict them with His word. When we are lost, we can call to Him and He will find us.
Through His name, we are saved from the destruction we deserve because of our sin. No other name, no other means, Jesus alone. Jesus. How precious the name. How precious the gift.
Thank you Father.
When the Word became flesh and lived among us, You told us to call His name “Jesus, because He came to save.” May we ever be careful and reverent with that name, understanding the vast power within it. We bow before You in awe of all You have done for us, and thank You once again for this precious gift, Jesus.
