Welcome precious friend!
I am a simple southern girl more likely to be outside than in, with my hands in the dirt trying to convince a plant to bloom or a critter to skee-daddle (southern for “get out!”). I stir up a mean skillet of cornbread, and brew tea (Earl Grey, hot) yes, with plenty of sugar.
Other than that, I have no claim to fame – except that I am a child of the King, God Almighty. The prayer of my heart friend, is that you first – know God. Second, that you give your life to Him. Then, you spend the rest of your days growing in Faith Hope & Love.
I have several decades behind me (nope, not saying how many) and spent many of them studying the Word of God and leading in-depth Bible study groups. I found there is absolutely no substitute for spending time in His Word. So, that is my mission with this website, to help you find fresh ways to grow in your Bible study, your knowledge of Him, that you will grow closer to Him every day, be better equipped to serve Him, and others will see your Faith Hope & Love.
Why do I write?
My answer is from the book of Psalms.
‘This will be written for the generation to come,
That a people yet to be created may praise the LORD.”
The Elijah Mandate is a political thriller from today’s headlines and from Scripture. The culture of Israel in the time of Elijah and the culture of America today have remarkable similarities. Using those similarities, the main character lives out a similar story to that of the Old Testament prophet, with danger, evil, and prayers for miracles. One brave girl must confront the powerful justice, before it’s too late.
Several pages of Scripture at the end will encourage all those who are persecuted, alone, or discouraged.
FREE printable Scripture pages for journaling or framing.
The Wisdom Tree is a parable/allegory about an ordinary little olive seed who grew into an olive tree (you guessed that one too, didn’t you?) in the Garden of Gethsemane at the time of Jesus.
It it you will recognize the familiar story told from the perspective of this little tree. You will meet the little worm, his constant (but unseen) friend who feeds him encouragement and Scripture, and be able to compare him to ways the Holy Spirit feeds and encourages us. The Master of the Garden of course, is God Almighty. Then Teacher (Jesus) comes on the scene and everything changes.
Each chapter has questions and Scripture answers. (Surprised?)
Multiple award-winning memoir, The Ground Kisser, provides insights into Vietnam, Communism/Socialism, and the huge contrast of living in America. Her unique gratitude to live in the USA prompted radio talk-show host, Barry Farber, to dub her a ground kisser and she thought it a fitting title for her story. Her harrowing escape from the war-torn country is not for the faint of heart.
COFFEE with God is a collection of devotions from five authors, each designed to build your Consecration, Obedience, Fearless Faith in Everything Every day. Guaranteed to be better than coffee alone!
Unsung Heroes, the Vietnam War Facts and the Casualties We Forgot to Remember using the names and faces of the Vietnam War casualties, take a look at who we were then, who we are now, and where we might be headed.

My simple brain needs simple illustrations to understand things so, I often find God teaching me through His creation.
God even used a tiny injured hummingbird (Oscar) to teach me. Oscar’s story along with several others is in Oscar the Extraordinary Hummingbird, And other tales from life in my Father’s world. The stories in this collection are all true, and illustrate biblical truths that even I can understand.
Yes, it includes a Bible study. Somehow you guessed that would be the case, didn’t you?

My prayer for you
It is not important that you know me, or read my books.
It is important that you get to know God and have Him as your Savior. I pray that for you, precious one. I pray He holds you near and makes Himself known to you today in a very real and personal way. I pray you continue to grow in your faith, and serve Him with all your heart, and mind, and strength all your days.
Take some time today and look around at the marvelous creation He prepared for you. He might even send you a reminder of His love for you by way of a tiny bird, or a tree.
Why I pray for you ~ [Brackets and bold print added by me]
“For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you
and your love for all the saints,
do not cease giving thanks for you,
while making mention of you in my prayers;
[Why?] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.
[What do I pray?] I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened,
[Why?] so that you will know what is the hope of His calling,
what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
[How does that happen?]
These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might
[What power/strength?] which He brought about in Christ,
when He raised Him from the dead
and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
far above all rule and authority and power and dominion,
and every name that is named,
not only in this age but also in the one to come.
And He put all things in subjection under His feet,
and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body,
the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”
